Antler hoop samara seed earrings

These antler hoop pieces come from an antler off a white tailed deer. I was walking my dog on Duck Pond beach in New Brunswick. It was a crazy stormy night and I needed to get out of the house. During the walk on the beach with the crazy surf, something caught my dog’s eye, Maddox, (the big fluffy one you see on instagram). He was interested but timid at the same time. As I approached closer, I noticed a large buck in the surf. He must have been down along the cliffs eating the Algae, as white tails usually do, and slipped and fell into the ocean and drowned. I dragged him as best as I could just past the surf line, jumped back in my car and drove back to the house frantically, grabbing my boyfriends buck saw (and my boyfriend). We drove back to the beach as quick as we could in the storm that was still happening. We made our way back down the beach and cut the antlers off the buck with the saw. We then let nature take it’s course by letting the surf take the buck away.

These earrings mean a lot to me and I would love for someone to have a piece of the antlers to take with them on adventures.

These earrings are 6.5 cm long and the antler hoops are 3 cm wide.

The earrings, as a pair, weigh 0.38 oz.
